After disabling the settings and reloading the window, editor still has variable font sizes

I'd expect that when I disable the settings, the editor is rendered normally.

Hi @meganrogge thank you for filing this issue. I tried to reproduce with the default workspace settings. When I toggle the setting editor.allowVariableFonts the lines are immediately re-rendered without the variable font-sizes. Could it be you were using the accessibility mode while testing? In this case you would need to toggle the setting editor.allowVariableFontsInAccessibilityMode instead
