I've found icons are a tremendous pain with web design. I either need a personal stash of SVGs, I need to buy a subscription to Font Awesome, or I need to use a design system's icon library.
Seeing that many web apps use the system font instead of a custom brand font, I believe a set of standardized glyphs that reflect whatever system the web app is running on would be tremendously helpful.
For instance, the share icon on Windows, Android, and iOS are all different. Instead of writing a script to detect the OS and swap out the glyph (or having glyphs that go against the grain of expected system conventions), would be ideal.
