Alternative to --env-file?

The --env-file additional flag must have been removed during the course of the last year.

It was very comfortable for me, as I could simply run /run/current-system/sw/bin/distrobox enter arch-container -a "--env-file /path/to/arch_linux_envars.txt". Is there a way to achieve something similar without resorting to specifying all envars?
