Configure crt instead of pem

I have configured crt extension instead of pem for all 3 pubkeys in /etc/sbctl/sbctl.conf but it doesn't get recognized. open /var/lib/sbctl/keys/db/db.pem: no such file or directory when I run any sbctl commands but it should be looking for /var/lib/sbctl/db/db.crt.
