[BUG] App Crashes opening WCR APIs

Describe the bug
When navigating to the WCR APIs the application crashes or stops working when clicking on the inner navigation. I can click on Phi Silica but cannot generate. Not yet have the other options working so far.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to WCR APIs
2. Click on Phi Silica (in vertical navigation),

Either freezes or there is a substantial delay in leading, a few minutes

Hi @pkbullock, do the other WCR APIs have the same issue? I also wonder if you are able to export the sample to Visual Studio and run the standalone project and capture any exceptions? Finally, I wonder if moving to the Dev channel would make a difference?

However, I can continue to export the sample, then running it in VS 2022- still not working, there is a COMException error:

Sorry I'm not willing to change my Windows Build to DEV Channel - had a bad experience last time and needed to reset PC to factory settings - I'm on Beta at the moment.

I think its specific to Phi Silica, changing the model in the AI Dev Gallery app to Phi4 (Ollama) works fine.

I also encountered the same problem, the same, but I was normal until 2025/04/25. It can start normally, but this error suddenly occurred today. Very confused

Is this still an issue with the latest insider and app updates?

I am using version 0.4.3 (just updated) and updated to Windows 11 Beta (ARM64) Build - 26120.4230

Under Windows AI APIs section of the app:
The app crashes specifically opening the Phi Silica LoRA, Text Summerizer, Text Rewriter, Text to Table. Interestingly not Phi Silica section. Although that fails to run.

Is there a recommended version of Windows to use e.g. are you using a Dev Build? and what devices are you using to test with this? Presumably Surface devices.

I've tested with both Arm and AMD based machines, but I'm always using the Dev channel and haven't tested with Beta - I'm told Beta should also work though - I'll have to test it

I am dropping my windows version to DEV channel and see if that makes a difference. Will report back. What brand are your machines? I have issues with these tools on 2 separate Lenovo devices and wonder if there is a manufacturer issue here.

I'm using a Surface Laptop with the Qualcomm chip. DId the dev channel work for you?
