Setting File attributes possible via heat but not anymore using Files

Question

We install a few hundred configuration files as mentioned here

File attributes (Permanent, NeverOverwrite) are set using harvesting + xslt. I guess the setting of such attributes are not possible using the new Files element.

Are there any other options we have once heat disappears in v7.0?

I just need some feedback so as to move on internally with our handling of the setup. Thanks.
