Why Window!.SetNavigationBarColor() is obsolete for API level 35? What is the alternative? Also this call works on API level 35.

Why Window!.SetNavigationBarColor() is obselete for API level 35?

It's obsolete in API-35 because Google obsoleted it in API-35: Window.setNavigationBarColor(int) documentation

What is the alternative?

The Android docs state:

🛑 This method was deprecated in API level 35.
Draw proper background behind WindowInsets.Type.navigationBars() or WindowInsets.Type.tappableElement() instead.

Unfortunately, I don't know what that note is supposed to mean. How is one supposed to "draw [the] proper background behind …"?

Also this call works on API level 35.

Just because a method is obsolete does not mean that it no longer works. It just means that you should investigate alternatives.

I belive in Android Studio you can draw xml content in there (custom textures, else)

But thanks for response. I understand why it's deprecated for modern API.
