OAuth cannot discover metadata When using a remote MCP Server

Describe the bug

When using a remote MCP Server, OAuth cannot discover metadata. After my debugging, I found that the /register route cannot be accessed. If I want to use Inspector to connect, what should I do?

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. Start MCP inspector app locally
2. Choose Streamable HTTP type and input https://api.githubcopilot.com/mcp/ to connect Github remote MCP server
3. See Failed to start OAuth flow: Failed to fetch

Why is the host integration using the "draft" state of the specification? Can't this possibly change? None of the official sdks support it either
