Package Supported or Deprecated?

@bashtage -- we really appreciate all the work you've done on this package.

Just wanted to check in to see if there is a plan to continue supporting this package or if it will be deprecated.

We currently use it across the QuantEcon lectures, however we have recently noticed a lot of FutureWarning notifications coming up due to updates to pandas. Just wanted to check if we should look at trying to patch them or if we should find alternatives for accessing data (such as wbgapi and/or yfinance as more targeted tools)
