I don't know if I understood your question correctly! But yes, you are using a modern WRL callback passing a lambda.

Lambda Syntax:
[hWnd](HRESULT result, ICoreWebView2Controller* controller) -> HRESULT
[ captures ] ( params ) -> returnType { body }
