Description

I've tried to follow the instructions on this page but the Google pages have changed a lot. So I can't figure out what I am supposed to do to set this up.

thanks - dave

@wadepickett when you update this page, don't include any google web site specific instructions such as In the Oauth consent screen of the Dashboard:

@Rick-Anderson @wadepickett I respectfully disagree. The web instructions you had, even though the pages had changed, are what made it possible for me to accomplish this without questions. What you wrote is a great step by step.

Please just update for the new page structure.

@DavidThielen, I agree with your sentiment. While, as Rick points out, it is hard to keep up with (which I also agree with), we really could use a clear and complete set of instruction that is step by step.

@timdeschryver, you interested? I would be open to whatever you think should be done to really improve this topic. In the end, as @DavidThielen points out the complete steps are really needed of course, but there may be room for improvement beyond that as well.

I'm not very familiar with the Google authentication setup, but I'll take a look and do my best to improve/update the docs in the upcoming week.

Just a quick update. I can understand the need to update the docs.
I got a working solution, and I will update the docs now (and follow the same structure as the other external authentication pages).
