Peek file function not working

Steps to reproduce

It was working fine a while ago. But when I tried to peek folders to view how much storage they were taking, it just wouldn't work. I tried changing the shortcut, to no avail.

✔️ Expected Behavior

When I press the assigned shortcut (ctrl + space) the peek function should've worked.

❌ Actual Behavior

It just doesn't.
