Docs: Filtering at client vs server.

As a new user, it is not clear where the filtering happens: At the client or at the server?

For example the Selector interfaces (labels/fields).

I would like to improve the documentation here. I think by adding a note at some places could help.

Before I open I PR, I would like to know where you think such a note would make sense.
