Cannot start VS Code - cannot find module

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes/No

• VS Code Version: 1.99.1
• OS Version: Win11 24H2 - 26100.3775

Steps to Reproduce:

Was using my devbox, after some time I tried to update Co-pilot and it broke, did a restart and VS code broke completely.

1. Open VS Code
2. VS code fails to load with Uncaught exception

That's the only thing I see:

Disabling extensions didn't help:

Cannot access "help" so not sure what to do next in this case.

I suggest you to uninstall and install again VSCode.

Thanks, I am in no rush with that. I will keep an environment as is, if it can help with troubleshooting this issue.

Hey folks, I am still seeing this error Randomly and it fixes itself in an hour or so I have no idea what's going on and how to fix it or troubleshoot this:

This has happened to me and multiple members of my team. The only way to fix it was to reinstall VS Code
