  • VS Code Version: 1.100.2
  • OS Version: Windows 24H2
VS Code Version
Version: 1.100.2 (system setup)
Commit: 848b80aeb52026648a8ff9f7c45a9b0a80641e2e
Date: 2025-05-14T21:47:40.416Z

ElectronBuildId: 11369351
Chromium: 132.0.6834.210
Node.js: 20.19.0
V8: 13.2.152.41-electron.0
OS: Windows_NT x64 10.0.26100

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open VSCode.
  2. Install Gitlens on VSCode.
  3. Open settings.
  4. Search for 'ansibleazure'.
  5. See a weird long setting 'ansibleazure-pipelinescssdockerfiledockercomposehtmljsonjsonclesspostcssscssstylusvueyaml'.
  6. Description is 'Configure settings to be overridden for the ansibleazure-pipelinescssdockerfiledockercomposehtmljsonjsonclesspostcssscssstylusvueyaml language.'

Already did a extension bisect and confirmed the issue is with Gitlens.
Also confirmed that disabling Gitlens and restarting VSCode removes this setting.

I already opened ticket at Gitlens: gitkraken/vscode-gitlens#4306
They claim 'VS Code settings UI has issues':

GitLens contributes default settings for certain languages and it looks like the VS Code settings UI has issues. You'd need to file an issue on the VS Code repo for it to be fixed.
