Closing and reopening essentials results in pinned tab

• I have searched existing issues and avoided creating duplicates.

What happened?

When there is an essential tab open, I am able to close it with the x button. Now, If I press ctrl + shift + t, it should re-open the essential tab. Instead, it opens as a pinned tab.

Right-clicking this tab, I looked for an option to add it to essentials. But instead, an option appeared to remove it from essentials. Clicking it does nothing. When right-clicking again, the option to add to essentials re-appears. Clicking this button does work, and it adds it back to essentials.

Also, this issue only seems to happen when there are other pinned tabs open.

• I have checked that this issue cannot be reproduced on Mozilla Firefox.
