Weird workspace scroll change behaviour with sidebar to the right

What happened?

I suppose this should not be here as it happens with a mod (Zen Sidebar at the Right Side); the developer is not active on Github and I do not really know where to file an issue because the "Zen Mods" web page has no link to the repository.
I checked and this does not happen with sidebar to the left, but I hope someone can help me .
It seems like at some horizontal scroll speeds in the sidebar, to change the workspace, an additional portion of the window gets shown; it slowly reduces after some time. This does not seem to happen when scrolling fast one workspace after the other, but if I pause for a moment and give a precise flick it does show.

• I have checked that this issue cannot be reproduced on Mozilla Firefox.
