having a lot of workspaces still require from me to have wide sidebar

after update to 1.10.1b i see, that icon strip still can't function properly, and still have all the problems that we've discussed in #6597

i can't switch to basically any other workspace with sidebar having minimal wide (i could with button), i can't switch to workspaces after making it wider (i could with buton) [after reaching certain width this problem is gone, but i do not want to have that width. and there should be people, who have more workspaces than me, so they have to make it even more wider], and i can't tell what workspace i'm switching to (i could with button). additionally, when i hover my mouse over workspaces buttons, they all are jumping and running away from me (they did not, when there was a button). the wider sidebar is, the less impactfull it is, but it's still fairly annoying

i wish there was an option to switch between workspaces that does not suck, and it was even implemented in past (a button)

sorry for the tone of this issue, but really, what's the point of refusing to add a button that was already there in the past? just make it a setting, the way it have been all the time, since you've introduced an icon strip

Please please can we get the option to have the button back @mauro-balades

I have just installed 1.10.1b and I'm glad that the sidebar is adjustable now but I still prefer the button and it seems many others do too.

I also much prefer the workspace button out of the way at the bottom rather than in the mix with tabs

technically, #6597 is more about wide sidebar, which got fixed. while this is about the fact, that the fix does not work, and icon strip still causes issues
