Vimium tab navigation broken since 1.9b

What happened?

Vimium tab navigation doesn't work properly in the last few updates (starting around version 1.9b): either only "next tab" works and cycles the tabs in random order, or neither "next tab" nor "previous tab" work. I haven't been able to figure out what causes one behavior rather than the other, but creating a split tab and then unsplitting it actually fixes the problem and allows regular tab navigation until the browser is closed.

This issue is present in both the tarball and flatpak version.

• I have checked that this issue cannot be reproduced on Mozilla Firefox.
