A grassroots initiative empowering the community of Tafelsig through skill-sharing and creative projects.

Uitgesort Creatives is a community-driven network in Tafelsig focused on providing individuals with skills in graphic design, writing, and digital literacy. We operate on the principle of shared knowledge and resources, aiming to empower people to navigate and thrive in today’s world.

Rather than a traditional institution, we function as a collaborative network. This includes organisers, participants, donated equipment, and the energy generated by successful projects. Our work is rooted in the daily realities of Tafelsig, addressing the immediate needs and aspirations of our community. We are currently a registered Non-Profit Company in Cape Town, South Africa. Our ambiiton is to emerge as community cooperative.

Our purpose is to:

• Provide practical skills to community members.
• Empower individuals to assert their agency and overcome systemic barriers.
• Foster a collective capacity for action and positive change.
• Build resilience against economic exploitation and divisive ideologies.

We believe in the creative potential of every person in Tafelsig and strive to create opportunities for this potential to flourish.

We focus on:

• Skill-sharing in areas like graphic design, writing, and digital literacy.
• Supporting individuals in creating CVs and online profiles.
• Connecting people with local businesses and academic resources.
• Building a strong community network based on trust and collaboration.

Our approach is grounded in lived experience and a deep understanding of the local context. It's about practical action and small, consistent victories.
