Code_helper was indicating 3.8 Go of RAM before not showing up (crashing I guess?)

I also got this error "the extension crashed 5 times in the last 5 minutes" and intellisense has been deathly slow today. Working on a react project with jsx and js files. Definitely seeing symptoms of a memory leak. Here is a picture of my RAM graph, physical memory:

Those sharp drops in the graph exactly coincide with output in the TypeScript output channel as follows:
