Following on from the discussion in http://code.google.com/p/arduino/issues/detail?id=193, this change overrides the serial devices used by rxtx without having to provide a patched version.

It seems silly to do our own scan of ports when RXTX already includes code for it. Scott Howard, who maintains Debian packages for Arduino and, I think, RXTX seems to agree, since he's modifying the RXTX package to look at /dev/ACM* devices instead of changing the Arduino code in this way. Still, this could be a useful fix for other distributions that would prefer not to modify their RXTX packages, but it's probably best applied as part of their Arduino packaging process.

Indeed, it appears that upstream RXTX will be modified to scan all ports.
