Cannot access certificate view from URL bar (padlock icon)

• I have checked that this issue cannot be reproduced on Mozilla Firefox.
• I have checked that this issue can be reproduced once I removed all my Mods and Custom CSS.

What happened?

Clicking the padlock in the URL bar shows this sub menu:

However clicking the second padlock - the list entry which reads "Connection secure" - to view the certificate and its expiration date and such doesn't work: The sub menu just closes.

(This is the vertical tab layout of course.)

While the title is not clearly telling it's about the padlock, issue #7851 seems to have the same root cause.
Closing this as duplicate. Please contribute/watch that issue @Sgt-Nukem
