Enable / Disable cache using a profile

We would like to enable / disable this extension using a properties inside a profile . I didn't find anything on the doc that allow to do this. It seams that the enablement could be controlled only from a env properties .

    <profile>
      <id>no-cache</id>
      <properties>
        <maven.build.cache.enabled>false</maven.build.cache.enabled>
      </properties>
    </profile>

then mvn -Pno-cache

I tried with to enable it but that doesn't work

just have the extension configured and disable cache by default and have a profile to enable it
