Web Images

This directory holds copys of standard web images used for general decoration
and 'fluff' in the example HTML documents. For example arrows, mathematical
symbols, spacing and document icons.

The favicon.ico used by web servers is generated as follows....

  convert ../images/splash.gif -bordercolor white -border 0 \
          \( -clone 0 -resize 16x16 \) \
          \( -clone 0 -resize 32x32 \) \
          \( -clone 0 -resize 48x48 \) \
          \( -clone 0 -resize 64x64 \) \
          -delete 0 -alpha off -colors 256 favicon.ico

The doc_art.png comes from IM examples
  convert ~/icons/www/art.xpm  doc_art.png

I can't seem to locate the source images I used for
"doc_ps.png" and "doc_svg.png"

For others on Fedora 10 (until better can be found).
  source=/usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/mimetypes
  rsvg -w 48 -h 48 $source/misc.svg doc_text.png
  rsvg -w 48 -h 48 $source/document.svg doc_doc.png
  rsvg -w 48 -h 48 $source/spreadsheet.svg doc_data.png
  rsvg -w 48 -h 48 $source/x-office-drawing.svg doc_draw.png

  source=/usr/share/icons/gnome/48x48/mimetypes
  cp $source/video-x-generic.png doc_video.png
  cp $source/text-html.png doc_html.png

  source=/usr/share/icons/oxygen/48x48/mimetypes/
  cp $source/text-x-generic.png doc_txt.png

The many mathematical symbols are extracted from many different
fonts using the "generate_symbols" script (one directory up)
