Quantum Mechanics

This a curated list of Physics related videos that aim to clarify complex concepts of Quantum Mechanics with visualizations that are easy to grasp by non-Physicists. Basic understanding of Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability, and Complex Analysis is very helpful, yet not necessary.

This list assumes you have a very basic understanding of the concepts associated with Quantum Mechanics.

These videos have been sorted to maximize your comprehension rate as some of these items have other videos as implicit pre-requisites.

Level 1

TBD [Discussed topics]: History, Particle/Wave Duality etc...

  1. Quantum Theory Made Easy Part 1
  2. Quantum Theory Made Easy Part 2

Level 2

TBD [Discussed topics]:

  1. Planck's Constant and The Origin of Quantum Mechanics
  2. The Double Slit Experiment
  3. Quantum Entanglement and the Great Bohr-Einstein Debate

Level 3

TBD [Discussed topics]:

  1. Waves: Light, Sound, and the nature of Reality
  2. Nuclear Physics -- Nuclear fusion and fission, gamma rays, neutron scattering & capture, alpha & beta decay, binding energy...
  3. Wave particle duality, Schrodinger's cat, EPR / Bell inequality, and the relationship between measurement and entanglement
  4. Classical vs Quantum Physics -- Visualizing the Quantum Wave Function
  5. Shrodinger's Equations
  6. Quantum Wave Function -- Superposition, Wave function collapse, and Uncertainty principle in Quantum Physics
  7. Quantum Spin - Visualizing the Physics and Mathematics [Related to Level-2-Item-2]
  8. Quantum Entanglement, EPR paradox, Bell Inequality, and the implication for Einstein's Theory of Relativity
  9. Quantum Measurements are Entanglement
  10. Quantum Operators for measurements of Energy, Position, and Momentum in Quantum Physics
  11. Delayed Choice Quantum Eraser

Cross-Level

  1. A free introduction to quantum computing and quantum mechanics

Entry Level Books

TBD [Discuss recommendations]:

  1. QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter -- Richard P. Feynman (Amazon)
  2. Quantum Mechanics: The Theoretical Minimum -- Leonard Susskind, Art Friedman (Amazon)
  3. Quantum Field Theory for the Gifted Amateur -- Tom Lancaster, Stephen J. Blundell (Amazon)
