How do i open the side panel when i click the context menu?

I have this code in my backgroud.ts file

chrome.contextMenus.onClicked.addListener(async (info, tab) => {

The side panel doesnt open when i click the context menu option. When I use the sidepanel.ts file, side panel opens when i click the context menu but the action icon opens the sidepanel aswell. This is a problem because i want the action icon to open popup.ts and contex menu to open sidepanel

How do i set my context menu to open the sidepanel and my action button to open popup.ts

I want to achieve opening the sidebar by clicking a button, but now whenever the icon is clicked, the sidebar opens and the popup.html page does not pop up. How can this issue be resolved?
