We have a new logo for the CG 🎉, but we need the actual source files and a license from the designer to be able to use it :neckbeard:.

Assigned to Geri. Let me know if you need a hand.

Discussed this with Mat, and due to the filesize of some of these logos (there are 22 in total, some are nearly 6MB for high-res printing), we're thinking it might be best to host the files on http://responsiveimages.org once the landing page is up.

@hellogeri, I don't think file size is a problem on github, but I'm not sure. I'm ok for them to be hosted somewhere else, as long as we (the community group members) can get to them. They are also good for the media.

Also, have you thought about what license you would like to use? Ideally, a Creative Commons global non-commercia/attribution/share-alike license would be great. Let me know if you want to discuss options and restrictions on your work.

Next week I want to start creating a presentation for the W3C's TPAC meetings in France, so it would be great to have your permission to use the logo. Also, we talked about potentially creating some t-shirts, etc. Those might be good to help fund some of the activities we are working on (e.g., pay for web hosting, etc.).

I think a CC license is a bit more appropriate for content like images and videos instead of branding, in our case. I wrote up a simple and to-the-point license earlier if you'd like to take a look at it in this file: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/7564295/RICG%20Logos.zip

We can upload this package to http://responsiveimages.org which can be accessible for anyone who'd like to use it. Thoughts?

@hellogeri very good point. I had not thought of the design work as overall branding. I'm not a lawyer, but if you are happy with the license, then I'm happy with it :)

I've moved the logos to a logos folder in the meta repo. We can duplicate on http://responsiveimages.org for easier access. Hope that is all cool.
