Feature Request: Show download/install progress in Web UI and/or Menubar icon #23

It can appear that Tophat is doing nothing when installing an application. But if you click on the Tophat Menubar icon, it says "Downloading", "Installing", etc.

It would be great if this status could also be reflected on the web UI. Additionally making the menu bar animate in somewhere to indicate progress would be useful.

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. We aren't able to address feature requests at this time but the the project is open to the community for these kinds of contributions.

Unfortunately this isn't super straightforward with the current setup as we are manually implementing the menu bar extra and window, which isn't currently set up to handle on-the-fly changes to things like the icon.

Once the first-party MenuBarExtra API becomes more refined, this can be easily accomplished using SwiftUI.

Will close for now.
