Customer reports getting the following error message:

engine pmd failed with status 1 and stderr
File AsyncJobExtension.cls doesn't exist

Mandatory arguments:
1) A java source code filename or directory
2) A report format
3) A ruleset filename or a comma-delimited string of ruleset filenames

The customer also reports:

the error looks like the binary is missing a parameter.

It doesn't look like anyone from our team changed the codeClimate configuration so we would love if you can have a look

This happened spontaneously sometime between Oct 28 and Nov 12.

Asked customer to:

  • confirm that AsyncJobExtension.cls exists in his repo
  • confirm if some other file have a reference expecting a file with that name to exist

-If the file exists, open a new branch against master, exclude that file, re-enable PMD
