Creative and solution-driven full-stack software engineer with a background in education. After a great 5 years as a primary education and virtual ESL teacher, I found I wanted more opportunities to problem-solve, create and collaborate with like-spirited adults. When I transitioned to the Flatiron School, sparks flew! I took the skills gained from my education background and applied them to learn Ruby, Rails, SQL, Javascript, and React, and I'm using them still as I continue to grow daily as a software developer. In my free time, I like to go on hikes, walk my two pugs, try new icecream and coffee shops, and care for plants - lots and lots of plants!
