Datagrid multi selection using keyboard

Is it possible to support multi selection in datagrid using Shift + up/down arrow keys?

We landed on using the arrow keys + space to toggle selection model based on user studies with keyboard and screen reader users.

If you have a specific use case that differs from the default, it should be possible to add custom selection interactions like shift+up/down arrows using a controlled selection state for rows.
