Type: Feature Request

When I click to highlight a block of code (say, using a trackpad on the Mac), it will go slow for a bit, then lightning fast -- way past where I need to be. It creates a frustrating UX where I need the highlighting speed to be slow.

Please fix it up?

VS Code version: Code 1.97.2 (Universal) (e54c774, 2025-02-12T23:20:35.343Z)
OS version: Darwin arm64 24.3.0
