Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

  • VS Code Version: Latest
  • OS Version: Browser

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a notebook file.
  2. Create a code cell.

No empty cell hint "Select language, or fill with template ..." is shown.
