Happy Monday! ☀️ I've just released a substantial change of the way we generate colour palettes in published content/docs sites: GitbookIO/gitbook#2783. Along with an improved developer experience, this update provides:
A better colour palette based on your chosen colours, defined in terms of perceived LCH instead of RGB. We assign a function to each of the shades in the palette, so colours are more consistently used and always work well with each other.

Better colour accessibility thanks to guaranteed accessible colour contrasts, no matter which colour you throw at it.

An upgrade for tint colour: when enabled, the tint colour now tints every single element on the page instead of only the background.

You might see small visual changes across your site(s), but the impact should be pretty minimal. The only sites that will see a more pronounced change are the ones that have enabled the new "tint" setting and set to a strong (primary) colour. If your site uses tint colour, have a look and see if you like it.
Check out your site today to see the changes. If you have feedback about these changes please leave a comment! I'll be making updates to fix issues as we go along. If you need help customising your theme, reach out and we'll help you out :)
