Go to the source directory, here it is
/node-addon/addon-src

In this directory, run command
node-gyp configure
to configure the build process. -
Run the command
node-gyp build
to build the addon. You will get a binary file inside/build/Release/<target_name>.node
(target_name will be the target_name key which you specified inbinding.gyp
file)
Sub-Directory : cli-app-using-events

Event emitters can be helpful in various aspects and can be an alternative to callbacks if you want to process the data in multiple ways. You can create multiple listeners to a single source and perform various tasks when the event is triggered.

Sub-Directory : create-server

net
module helps us to create web servers. It provides us with a duplex socket connection which can be used to create chat applications. -
Just start the application with
node build/index.js net
. The web server will start. -
Now to join the server via a client (we will be using netcat for it) run the command
nc localhost 8000
. You can create multiple clients to emulate a chat group. -
Messages are broadcasted to all the connected clients.
