cannot start steampipe, error: tried to kill plugin_manager

I am unable to start steampipe and the trace logs does not reveal much.
Can someone tell how to debug or what is wrong?

Sounds like you may have a steampipe process stuck in the background?

What do you see if you run:

ps aux | grep steampipe

Suggest you reboot or kill any stray steampipe background processes and try again.
