Current behaviour

1. Select text
2. Press Shift+Del
3. Text is deleted
4. Content of the clipboard is not changed
5. Pres Shift+Insert
6. Previous content of clipboard is pasted

Expected behaviour

It should cut instead of just deleting text (the same as Ctrl+X)

1. Select text
2. Press Shift+Del
3. Text is deleted
4. Selected text is copied to the clipboard
5. Pres Shift+Insert
6. Text selected in point 1 is pasted

I don't think Shift+Del should be used to cut text by default, but if you want this behavior then you can assign the keyboard shortcuts of cut/paste to Shift+Del and Shift+Insert in the settings

Why ? It's standard behavior working essentially everywhere. In which situation it would be desirable to rather "delete" then "cut" ? Why Shift+Insert and Ctrl+Insert is working then ?

However if it worked I assume that Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V would stop working, right ? That wouldn't be great either.

My suggestion is

• either hardcode Shift+Del to "cut" command (unless manually assigned by user to different command) which would be consistent with Shift+Insert/Ctrl+Insert currently hardcoded to "paste"/"copy" command
• or allow multiple keyboard shortcuts to single command (more flexible but overkill IMO).
