(About Me) 🇨🇳
About Me 🇬🇧
My journey into open source began with a very simple story. In my freshman year of college, I had already self-taught the entire core curriculum for computer science. I’d been obsessed with programming since middle school, which allowed me to bypass the rigid framework of the university’s curriculum and execute a more efficient learning path based on my own holistic understanding of the field. When I organized and shared all of my notes and insights, I was met with a huge response from my classmates. In that moment, a long-lost feeling of joy struck me—it was the purest sense of achievement, the same one I felt when I first built a product with code and experienced how technology could create value for others. I suddenly grasped something incredibly important, a concept I call “Value Leverage”: The limited time I invested was magnified, creating far more value for others than the sum of my individual effort. This, to me, is the most artistic form of creation.
This belief has also completely shaped my view on creation itself. While the mainstream today champions specialization, I believe more in a Da Vinci-esque, holistic development. A creator must have a profound understanding and command of the entire process, from code to design, from user psychology to business logic. Therefore, I never confine myself to the role of a "programmer." When a work requires me to take on more roles, I dive in without hesitation, because the ultimate goal is the integrity of the work, not my personal job title.
This reminds me of what Steve Jobs once said: great artists and great engineers are similar because they both yearn for self-expression. In the 1970s, computers became a medium for creative expression. Great artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo were also brilliant in science. Michelangelo didn't just sculpt; he also knew a great deal about quarrying.
Therefore, I am determined to build a company that is built to last. Here, our sole objective is this: are we creating works of art that excite us and bring immense value to our users?
