Please make shift+enter consistent

I had to switch from another ide to vscode for work and, while there are some nice things in vscode, it absolutely nukes my mind how frustrating and inefficient some things are. Shift + enter is extremely frustrating to use because it is apparently playing roulette with whether it wants to run the code in the terminal or the interactive window. Then, trying to view data in the jupyter extension forces that freaking navigation pane to open as if that is something that makes sense to open in that instance. Then stop making it so I have to run extra commands to restart a kernal just to import the latest version of a module - what developer wants that locked down during development... Just don't reimport it if you don't want it to change. Insane

There is a setting for that jupyter.interactiveWindow.textEditor.executeSelection
Though if you have code cells in you file # %%, we assume you want to use the Interactive Window.
You are also free to adjust the keybindings however you like them

I'm not sure what navigation pane you are referring to. Maybe the variable view? You could try the newer native variable view that shows in the debug sidebar by default with notebook.variablesView.
