Today I opened a new copilot chat and asked a question, ensuring the chat mode had "Ask" selected. I asked a simple question in the chat, not requesting any changes or suggestions, yet it copilot modified my source code - much like how it operates when in "Agent" mode.
I selected "undo", manually selected the "Ask" option again, and tried again but observed the same behaviour - copilot was changing my code in "Ask" mode.
I asked copilot in the chat how it was doing this (not expecting anything from the question) and copilot denied that the "Ask" mode was able to modify code.
