Type: Bug
Something has happened to my VSCode across multiple machines. If no project is open, the Activity bar shows the File Explorer and CTRL-SHIFT-E works. As soon as I open any folder (even an empty folder I just created), the Activity Bar resets and the Explorer Icon disappears. The Search icon becomes the one at the top of the list of icons. CTRL-SHIFT-E no longer works. This effectively makes it impossible to use VSCode. There are no options to re-enable the Explorer menu or debug why it is disappearing. I have tried everything the @VScode Copilot suggests to resolve this and none of them work.
