Unable to Add OneDrive Folder to Workspace in VS Code on macOS #252871

Description

@iamshreeram

I'm unable to open a folder stored on OneDrive using the Visual Studio Code desktop on my Mac.

While VS Code successfully detects and displays the directory, it does not allow me to add the folder to the workspace.

Please note that I have already mapped and synchronized OneDrive with my system, and other applications are able to access the files without issue.

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

  • VS Code Version: 1.101.2
  • OS Version: Sequoia 15.5

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Ensure OneDrive is correctly installed and synchronized on your Mac.
  2. Open Visual Studio Code desktop application.
  3. Use the "Open Folder" option and navigate to a directory within OneDrive.
  4. Select the folder and attempt to add it to the workspace.
  5. Observe that VS Code detects the folder but does not allow it to be added to the workspace.

As you can see, though it detects all the files, it is not accessible. But, this works perfectly fine in my windows system.
