Summary of the Issue:
When operating in agent mode with the Claude Sonnet 4 model I experience significant performance issues today. I observe a dramatic increase in processing time, rendering the feature nearly unusable for time-sensitive tasks. This issue is occurring despite the official GitHub service status page indicating all systems are operational (https://www.githubstatus.com/).

Detailed Description:
The GitHub Copilot Chat extension's agent mode has become exceptionally slow. Operations that were previously completing in a matter of minutes are now extending to an hour or longer. This severe latency significantly hampers developer productivity and disrupts workflows that have come to rely on this functionality.
While the primary GitHub Copilot plugin has been recently updated to version v1.338.1649, it is currently unclear to me if this update is directly related to the performance degradation. The VS Code and Copilot Chat extension versions remain consistent with the previous day's configuration, a period during which performance was nominal.
