Hola!, I'm Alexa - aka axelavar 👋

I'm a Staff Software Engineer at Grafana Labs, currently working on collaboration features at the Sharing Squad. With 4+ years at Grafana (12+ years total experience), I focus on building frontend tools that help users work together better with Grafana.

I care about accessibility (a11y), I care about users, and using tech to solve problems for real people, not just perfect demos. My philosophy: see the human first, then the developer.

When I'm not coding, I'm mentoring, sharing knowledge about tech career progression, and figuring out how to make software more inclusive and collaborative. I've transitioned from individual contributor → tech lead → staff engineer, and love helping others navigate similar paths.
