I don't want to execute tools

I am using ai to serve different models under the same API. However, I'd like to have function calling but I only need to define tools not to execute them, that will be up to the user.

Is there a way to do it?

You can omit the execute function in the tool.

what would be the correct way to serialize tools? Assuming I am sending a request to a server hosting ai and I need to put the tools into the payload
