VS Code so slow that I'm recommending abandoning it entirely

• OS Version: Windows

Steps to Reproduce:

1. fire up vs code
2. try to do anything with it
3. it's periodically (every 30 seconds or so) ghosting me and disallowing any input

The perf info step is shielding the dev team and product owner from critical feedback.
VS Code is dangerously injured.
The project will die completely, and your jobs along with it, if you don't immediately establish methods for gathering this information automatically in your own test environment. Just being real here. It's time to wake up and fight for yourselves and your families.
The fix was an uninstall and replacement with VS Codium. The suspect in the VS Code stalls is telemetry between the application and Microsoft.
