How to Survey section for UX guidelines #5768
Description
Extension authors have limited channels to get user feedback. Issues are mostly created for bugs and feature requests. Marketplace feedback have limited context (stars, and why), are posted publicly, and don't always contain the most actionable product feedback.
Most VS Code extensions that do survey have their own heuristics on when to pop up a notification to ask. Some do a better job than others. If we formalize survey heuristics, we can reduce notification fatigue and help extension authors listen to users.
