Problem Description

Background

We have two strategies for App Updater (base on electron-updater):

  1. Auto update: Initialize app updater when app launched.
  2. Manual check: Help > Check for updates

Problems

1. Cannot know status of Auto update

There seems to be no way for users to know if it has been updated.

2. Bug of Manual check

Click Help > Check for updates:

Solution

The fundamental solution is to introduce App Updater UI like LMStudio、Cherry Studio etc.
