This milestone is for an out-of-the-box installation of ChatterBot, or an instance of ChatterBot with minimal configuration, to win the Loebner Prize. This is an important milestone because it will set a new standard for machine dialog and chat bots that will, hopefully, push existing technologies forward as they compete to achieve a higher standard. > The Loebner Prize is an annual competition in artificial intelligence that awards prizes to the computer programs considered by the judges to be the most human-like. The format of the competition is that of a standard Turing test. In each round, a human judge simultaneously holds textual conversations with a computer program and a human being via computer.
